South South Development: Governor Wike, Ayade Commend Buhari Over Bakassi Deep Seaport Approval

 

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says the Bakassi deep seaport project conceived by the  Cross River State Government will turn around the economy of not only the state but the entire south south region when realized. 

Wike who was a guest of Governor Ben Ayade  in government house,calabar also commended President Buhari for the speedy approval of transactional advisor given to the project despite their political differences, saying Bakassi deep seaport will be a success story to strengthen the economy of the south south.


Responding, a visibly elated Ayade said his vision for the project was not for Cross River State alone but the benefit of the region and beyond, assuring that the state will always be in support of the development of the south south region.

AIT Rasheed Olanrewaju reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had recently approved the transactional advisor for the take off of the construction of the Bakassi deep seaport.

The approval has seen several  investors flying into Calabar to bid for the project.
